There is Hope

The Humane Society of the United States estimates that animal shelters throughout the country care for 6-8 million dogs and cats every year, of which approximately 3-4 million are euthanized. Ending the euthanasia of homeless animals is a goal that all animal welfare organizations share, but the reality is that shelters, with their limited space and finite resources, cannot achieve this goal without high levels of community support.

In Montgomery County, VA, there is HOPE.

Our Mission

The mission of Animal HOPE Alliance (AHA) is to provide humane, responsible, and loving care for lost, abandoned, unwanted, neglected, ill, injured, or abused companion animals. We spayed/neutered 515 animals in 2008 and hope to surpass that number in 2009. We have found homes for more than 100 pets. Through our efforts and with the help of the community, we will continue to rescue animals, promote spaying and neutering, and place animals in loving and appropriate “forever” homes.

Our Organization

The Animal HOPE Alliance (AHA) is organized and operated exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes as specified in Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
